Unit History: Unit was activated at Camp Hood, TX, on Sep. 1, 1942. The unit moved to Camp Bowie, TX, on Nov 18, 1942. They then moved back to Camp Hood, TX, on Jan. 20, 1943, and then went to Camp Shelby, MS, Mar. 6, 1943, as part of the XV Corps. They were prepared for shipment at Camp Kilmer, NJ, on Feb. 2, 1944, and shipped from the New York Port of Embarkation on Feb. 9, 1944. The unit arrived in England on Feb. 18, 1944, and then shipped to France, landing on Jul. 18, 1944. Acted as VIII Corps Anti-Tank section. Moved into Luxembourg on Oct. 23, 1944, and then into Belgium on Dec. 19, 1944. They then moved back into Luxembourg on Jan. 31, 1945, and then into Germany on Mar. 6, 1945.
