A great shot of the German "Sturmtiger", which was a heavy assult gun built on the Tiger I chassis. It fired a large navel rocket which required a crane to lift it to the loading hatch. Note the crane can be seen at the rear of the vehicle. The rounds weighed up to 830 lbs and required all five crew members to assist. Just recently identified as Jay C. Reagle, who was actually a member of the Medical Detachment of the 773rd TD Battalion. The photo was taken by Jack E. Brown Sr. on August 20, 1945, who recognized Jay from back home in East Palestine, Ohio. The photo was identified as "Jay" and his pipe.
